Description: Cell Biolabs? Aflatoxin Competitive ELISA Kit provides a convenient method for the detection of total Aflatoxin B1 and Aflatoxin B2 adducts in protein samples. First, an AFB1 conjugate is coated on an ELISA plate.  The unknown AFB1/2 samples or AFB1-BSA standards are then added to the AFB1 conjugate preabsorbed ELISA plate.  After a brief incubation, an anti-AFB1/2 monoclonal antibody is added, followed by an HRP conjugated secondary antibody.  The total content of AFB1 plus AFB2 in unknown samples is determined by comparison with a predetermined AFB1-BSA standard curve.

Description: First, a CEL conjugate is coated on the ELISA plate.  The unknown CEL protein samples or CEL-BSA standards are then added to the CEL conjugate preabsorbed plate.  After a brief incubation, the anti-CEL monoclonal antibody is added, followed by an HRP conjugated secondary antibody.  The content of CEL protein adducts in unknown samples is determined by comparison with the predetermined CEL-BSA standard curve.  Despite the structure similarity between CEL and CML, the anti-CEL specific antibody in the OxiSelect CEL ELISA Kit will not cross react with CML protein adducts.

Description: Advanced glycation end products (AGE) are formed during the Maillard reaction where reducing carbohydrates react with lysine side chains and N-terminal amino groups of various macromolecules, particularly proteins. The advanced glycation end products can adversely affect the fuction of these macromolecules. One of the most prevalent AGE products, N-epsilon-(Carboxymethyl) Lysine, has been implicated in oxidative stress and vascular damage. The OxiSelect N-epsilon-(Carboxymethyl) Lysine Competitive ELISA kit specifically detects CML formation with a high level of sensitivity. This is a Competitive ELISA Kit in which the plate is coated with a CML conjugate.  Standards and unknown samples are added to the plate, followed by incubation with the primary antibody. The CML in the unknown samples and the CML attached to the plate compete for the primary antibody. Higher CML content in unknown samples results in more binding of the antibody to the sample, and thus less antibody binds to the plate. Since the antibody bound to the sample is washed away, higher CML content in samples correlates with a lower signal.
